The School of Business and Management’s Emeritus Professor Rosemary Deem has been elected to the Academia Europaea, in the Governance, Institutions and Policies section.
The Academia Europaea was formed in 1998 as a pan-European academy of sciences, humanities and letters. There are currently over 5500 members from across Europe, drawn from eminent scholars across all disciplines, nationalities and geographical locations. The purpose of the Academy is to promote the advancement of public education and learning, while pursuing excellence in scholarship and research.
Membership of this prestigious Academy is by invitation only. Following nomination, a rigorous peer review process is conducted, examining the nominee’s contribution to scholarship and their academic field during their career. Election is then confirmed by the Council of the Academia.
Other members from Royal Holloway include Gregory Claeys (History), Penelope Corfield (History), Agust Gudmundsson (Earth Sciences), Manos Tsakiris (Psychology), Gregory Gutin (Computer Science), and José Fiadeiro (Computer Science).
