Classical Views on Modern Issues - Studying the Classical World

  • Date03 October 2022

Hark ye, Year 12-13s, of Homer's uncanny predictions, Alexander's 'war crimes', and Plautus' gendered spaces. Our fantastic Taster Day, 'Studying the Classical World: Classical Views on Modern Issues' is back on the 26th October!

Come hear all about these topics, as well as the long-term value of Classical studies for your career, in a special day-long event hosted by the Classics Department at Royal Holloway University of London on Wednesday 26th October. All sixth form students are welcome: no prior study of classical culture assumed! We are also offering an optional tour of our beautiful campus.

To sign up for the event, first download the programme, then register here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/studying-the-classical-world-classical-views-on-modern-issues-tickets-427902587157

Any questions? Please email the event organiser Dr. Richard Hawley (Richard.Hawley@rhul.ac.uk).
