Our Criminology & Sociology and Criminology & Psychology degrees sit within the inter-disclipiniary School of Law.

The unique strength of our community is that it brings together so many exceptionally talented people of different backgrounds, experiences, interests, methodologies and perspectives in a subject mix which is stimulating and special in legal and social science education.

We offer stimulating degree programmes and you will be taught by renowned academics who are leaders in their fields and bring their research and practice into the lecture theatre, helping you gain current and relevant skills and knowledge.

Our degrees are designed to give you a solid foundation of knowledge in your first year and to expand on this in your subsequent years. By the time you reach your third year you will have an excellent basis of knowledge and will be given the opportunity to dig deeper.

We have a strong culture of support for students. All students are allocated a Personal Tutor before arrival, who will provide academic advice and pastoral support throughout the entire degree programme.

Our programmes

On this programme of study students will explore different areas of the Criminal Justice System and debate crime and its causes.
