Royal Holloway is an Official Language Partner of the Chartered Institute of Linguists

Our languages students are entitled to FREE MEMBERSHIP of the Institute, which is the pre-eminent UK-based professional membership body for language practitioners. It aims to enhance the recognition and promote the value of languages and language skills in the public interest. Founded in 1910, CIOL has over 7,000 members.

We work with CIOL to promote the value of language learning and and can recommend the benefits of CIOL membership for linguists at all levels. As a CIOL Language Partner we are committed to supporting the development of our linguists.

If you join CIOL as a Student Affiliate you will be taking the first step on your career ladder to becoming a Chartered Linguist.
