Sarah Wright - Professor of Hispanic Studies

My teaching expertise is in Hispanic Studies and Comparative Literatures and Cultures. I am a specialist in Spanish theatre, literature, film and cultural studies and my teaching is interdisciplinary and comparative.

I regularly present schools workshops for A-level students of Spanish at the BFI together with Lidia Merás. My research has included monographs on the theatre of Federico García Lorca, the figure of Don Juan in Spanish culture and the figure of the Child in Spanish Cinema. I have co-edited books on the Voice in Cinema and the child in world cinemas.

I am also Associate Editor of the Bulletin of Spanish Studies and the Bulletin of Spanish Visual Studies.
