Our media arts department is energetically, proactively creative – and keeping that creativity going on a practical, technical level requires a dedicated team of staff: our Technical Services Team, or the Tech Team! Our students are able to engage with the latest in creative technologies, thanks to this team’s hard work and dedication – and as recognition of that, they’ve recently been given a Collective Performance Award by the college.
The Tech Team in the Media Arts department is made up of eight individuals who are always there for students and staff to support them with the technologies they’re using. Our students can request their support for anything from connecting remotely to our editing facilities to makaing a hero prop for their films, and our staff likewise. Of their recent award of recognition from college, our Head of Department, Barry Langford, had this to say:
“I'm delighted to tell you that in recognition of the truly remarkable efforts undertaken by our Technical Services Team supporting students and staff over the past 12 extraordinary months, the College has announced a collective Performance Award bonus for the Williams team - Helen, Sarah, Dale, Alex, Matt, Neil, Chris and Nancy. In making this award, the College have recognised that each and every member of the team have gone above and beyond in your service to colleagues and department in supremely challenging times.”
